Water
I experimented with different angles and heights when photographing the water. This was quite problematic as I had to keep moving when waves came.

Typography inspired by Ed Ruscha
When studying typography during my A-levels I came across
the artist Ed Ruscha. I created my own images using his style and also attempted
to copy one of the original works.

When I was looking at the different fonts on Photoshop I noticed
that there weren't any similar to the image I was copying. Because of this I decided
to try and create my own font using Ruscha’s image as a rough template for the
dimensions.
The images below are my own works, the first of which is my own copy of Ruscha's work which is shown above.
Experimentation with Chiaroscuro (people)
Chiaroscuro photography combines low and high contrast
in a specific way. In my work I used my reluctant brother to create my own images using this method. This led me onto discover the photographer
John Lucia who has also experimented with Chiaroscuro in some of his work.

Pedro Vidotto inspired film poster
During my A-levels I did some work on posters which led me
to come across the artist Pedro Vidotto. Vidotto uses silhouetted object as the
subject of the image.
I created my own posters in the style and also copied one of
Vidotto’s images. I Decided on the Sweeny Todd poster. This is Vidotto’s
original piece.

And these are my Inspired pieces and my copy of the Sweeny Todd image
